**Job Overview**:
The Guest Services Associate/Cashier provides bowling center customers with prompt, friendly and efficient service; provides customers with proper sizing of bowling equipment (ball and shoes) while maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards of equipment throughout the facility; and ensures maximum utilization of lanes and equipment through efficient control of customer flow.
**Role Accountabilities & Expectations:**
* Greet customers pleasantly and provide information on center programs and services, promotions, pricing and specials. Answer phones in a professional and pleasant manner and take reservations.
* Accurately assign rental shoes, lockers and billiards tables (if applicable). Clean and apply spray disinfectant to all rental shoes upon return.
* Track lane availability, assign open lanes, prepare for leagues and start leagues on time.
* Accurately record sales at counter and follows cash control procedures. May be responsible for opening and/or closing cash procedures.
* Promptly notify mechanic of pinspotter/pinsetter malfunctions and log all malfunctions on the call sheet.
* Assist customers with basic bowling instructions. Explain and troubleshoot automatic scoring equipment.
* Operates POS equipment, central panel, computers and PA system.
* Readily assist colleagues with miscellaneous duties to prevent delays in the customer service experience.
* Promptly assist and respond to all customer questions/requests by immediately taking ownership of the inquiry and guiding to resolution.
* Interact with customers upon their departure from the facility by thanking them for their business and inviting them back.
* Proactively ensure a clean, safe environment is maintained at all times, including follow all company safety and security operating standards by reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management.
* Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, in addition to extended workdays in order to support business needs.
* Other duties may be assigned.
**Required Skills/Experience:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent and a full-service restaurant and/or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
* Must have a proven record of success in school and/or previous job experiences.
* Possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, including respect for all individuals and solid communication skills.
* Must be strong team players.
* Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety procedures and basic PC user skills highly preferred.
* Must meet the minimum age required by company operating standards and state law to sell and serve alcohol.
* Highly organized, strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
* Must pass and remain in compliance with drug free workplace policies.
* Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
* Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
* Reliable transportation.
**Physical Requirements (as required by OSHA and ADA):**
* Bowling center environment where you will walk, bend and stand for periods of time.
* May be asked to occasionally lift objects with some assistance.
* The noise level is typical for bowling.
