Front-End Cashier

Provides our customers with accurate, friendly and efficient checkout services; accurately scans, prices and bags products; collects proper payment and provides proper change if necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets all Customers and provides then with prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Understands operation of cash register and follows all cash handling procedures.
• Accurately identify and scan products under correct department
• Accurately and quickly collect proper payment and provide proper change.
• Process all forms of payments in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform ask duties in accordance with Local, State and Federal regulations as they pertain to Front-End regulation.
• Properly bag customers' orders safely and efficiently.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to company policy, with priority to refrigerated and perishable items.
• Understand and adhere to Company shrink guidelines as relates to Front-End operations.
• Utilize and maintain equipment and report any equipment problems immediately.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe Front-End.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to stand/walk the duration of scheduled shift.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, twist, reach, push, pull, squat and stretch during a shift
• Frequently use both hands to grab, grasp, lift, pull, push and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to extend and reach both arms fully forward.
• Ability to use both arms, shoulders and hands to transfer/load products into bags/carts.
• Regularly twisting torso to properly position body weight.
• Regularly retrieve carts by pushing, pulling carts from parking lot and place them into store.
• Regularly lift items in and out of carts.
• Frequently transport packages to customers' vehicle.
• Exposure to extreme temperature changes.
• Regularly provide face to face customer service.
