We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our team and contribute to the success of our unique retail space.
Position Overview: As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind The Yarn Barn's day-to-day operations. You'll be responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the overall success and growth of the store.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure the store is well-maintained, visually appealing, and fully stocked with a diverse range of quality yarns and related merchandise.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to showcase products and attract customers.
- Manage and optimize online sales, coordinating with the online sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic, enhance brand visibility, and engage with the local crafting community.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to maintain strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a similar niche such as crafting, textiles, or hobbyist retail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge and passion for yarn and related crafts is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in sales and achieving revenue targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
