Summary of Duties:
This position will support the Human Resources department with administrative duties.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in reviewing job applications and matching applicants to current openings.
- Schedules and/or conducts interviews for open hourly positions.
- Communicates open positions to temporary agency and manages scheduling of temporary candidates interviews and/or assessment.
- Sends offers of employment to direct hire candidates and organize preemployment screenings.
- Communicates offers of employment to temporary candidates with temporary agency.
- Schedules new hires for orientation and works with HR Manager to prepare materials and/or assist with orientation presentation.
- Coordinates start dates with department supervisor/manager and communicates dates with new hire and/or temporary agency.
- Monitors preemployment screenings for next steps and files all preemployment and onboarding documentation in employee's personnel file.
- Assists with recording employee information and/or updates to employee's information in the HRIS.
- Assist with development and implementation of employee engagement activities.
- Organize and update employee bulletin boards on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Collaborate with HR, Sales, and Executives to update GFP website and social media pages.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Greet and direct all visitors or vendors to the proper location or person.
- Assist with other Human Recourses related responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements (but not limited to):
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work alone or with limited supervision while ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ability to function as a team player and demonstrate positive work behavior with employees and management.
- Attention to detail required, to ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Understanding of confidentiality concerning all information and matters within the department, plant, and company.
