Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Housekeeping and Maintenance Team in the role of Plant Operations Manager. The position is full time 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for serving PRH customers by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services & Maintenance department. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the organization by using guidelines set forth in environmental service policies and for providing a comfortable environment, 24 hours per day, for patients, visitors, medical staff and employees. Such provision must be in compliance with JCAHO Standards, health/safety standards, local, state and federal regulations. The environment includes all structures and the grounds surrounding them. The Manager of Plant Operations demonstrates fiscal responsibility in development and management of the department budgets. He/she must be a leader in Quality Measurement and Enhancement for the department. The Manager must be an effective facilitator between physicians, department staff, and other members of the health care team. This position is also responsible for providing supervision, allocation and maintenance of product and equipment; departmental projection and planning; scheduling team members.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in healthcare Environmental Service.

  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Basic computer competency skills are expected.

  • Diversified background of maintenance skill with technical training

  • Technical training in an accredited school focusing on heating systems, ventilating systems, air conditioning systems, plumbing, electricity, pneumatics and components of the various systems or equivalent number of years performing maintenance skills on the job.
  • Experience should include having worked with or have an understanding of heating systems, ventilating systems, air conditioning systems, plumbing, electricity, pneumatics and components of the various systems

  • General interior and exterior building maintenance
