Cocktail Server


SUPERVISOR: F&B Supervisor/FOH Manager EXEMPT (Y/N): NO

CLASSIFICATION: Key Employee


SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing prompt, friendly and courteous service, of food and beverage to all gaming floor guests. Responsible for the overall appearance of the sports bar. Cash and Credit Card handling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acknowledge all guests promptly.
  • Able to describe all beverages and services a guest can receive while on the gaming floor.
  • Knowledge of MICROS/POS system.
  • Knowledge of cocktail and drink terminology.
  • Insures correct cocktail/drink call list.
  • Preforms all shift opening and closing checklist duties.
  • Knowledge of all beverage items as specified.
  • Preforms necessary side work, pre-shift work and shift completion work.
  • Handles all VIP guests according to internal F&B policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Serves all food and beverage with proper garnishments.
  • Monitor all gaming devices and/ or tables in your station for service and maintaining glassware and ashtrays.
  • Promotes Positive Customer relations, greets guests and creates a friendly atmosphere.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate with staff and guest verbally in English.
  • Skills in establishing and maintain an effective working relationship with staff.
  • Ability to multi-task calmly and efficiently.
  • Anticipate and execute excellent guest service through up-beat positive attentiveness.
  • Ability to multi-task high volume activity, payment transactions, cash and credit card carry as payment and/or comps.
  • Basic mathematic abilities.
  • Must pose excellent communication skills.
  • Basic money handling.
  • Ability to work in a dimly lit, loud and smoke-filled environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS AND INFORMATION:

  • POS System.
  • Guest Credit Card Information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year cash handling experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service, six (6) months experience in a high volume operation required (Casino experience preferred).
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal and written format.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Must pose excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • No felony or theft convictions.
  • Tribal Preference.
