Description:

The Marquardt - Watertown WI

1. Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with residents/patients/clients and family members / personal representatives.

2. Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.

3. Has the responsibility for his/her nursing staff functioning within the policies, beliefs and philosophy of nursing service at designated care unit.

4. Determine the kind and amount of nursing care needed to meet the needs of the resident and to achieve the objectives of Health Center.

5. Coordinate and delegate care of the residents so that compliance is assured with the local, State and Federal regulations and administrative policies.

6. Makes routine checks of residents who are ill or have problems, noting any changes in condition and assists staff in responding to these changes.

7. Assigns duties to other nursing personnel.

8. Investigates any incident report or error in procedure with a follow-up as to correction of the cause. Promotes safety for both residents and staff.

9. Maintains high professional standards and serves as a model for all nursing personnel.

10. Will follow all department safety rules in performance of all duties.

11. Hires, disciplines and terminates their employees as necessary with administrative approval.

12. Assists in screening potential admissions, as directed by DON.

13. Will promote resident centered care.

14. Responsible for on-call services as assigned.

15. Performs other similar duties, as needed.

Requirements:

1. Commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients.

2. Excellent communications and human relation skills.

3. Ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members / personal representatives.

4. Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.

5. Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed.

6. Currently registered as an R.N. in the state of Wisconsin.
