Residential Test & Turn Up Technician

Our Residential Test & Turn Up Technicians work within a call and chat que, work closely with our Field Operations team and Provisioning to activate service, and troubleshoot end user services during the installation process for Metronet's residential customers. This role requires someone with a strong technical knowledge base, ability to work in a fast-paced team oriented environment, strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a strong attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Primary responsibility is to work in the call and chat queues with the Field Operations team to activate and troubleshoot services for end users
• Responsible for using management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools and interpreting the results in order to successfully identify, understand and resolve customer, network and server problems and improve performance
• Work directly with Field Operations personnel during installation, activation, and troubleshooting of services
• Continue to learn and update internal knowledge base of new services, equipment, and testing procedures
• Work in Metasolv, Q-Manager, Adtran, Nokia, Telco Systems equipment, AMS, AOE, and other systems to facilitate job functions
• Occasional shift assignments and on-call support
• Other duties as assigned
