JOB PURPOSE:

The Recruiter role creates a competitive advantage for Midco by attracting and acquiring top talent throughout all levels of the organization by planning, attracting, selecting, and closing each hiring need. The recruiter manages the recruitment process from job requisition to on-boarding.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Source and recruit high caliber candidates utilizing a variety of sources including, but not limited to, internet postings, social media, employee referrals, job fairs, print media, networking, and agencies.
  • Screen, interview, and present top candidates to hiring managers for consideration.
  • Provide professional support and expertise regarding all matters in the recruitment process.
  • Represent and uphold the Midco brand as a premier employer by coordinating and attending various job fairs and/or educational/school events throughout the region.
  • Effectively promote career opportunities by demonstrating a passion for Midco, the culture and community.
  • Build strong and dynamic partnerships with hiring managers and internal customers to identify, clarify, and define recruiting and sourcing strategy.
  • Champion recruiting and diversity initiatives by educating candidates and hiring managers to drive results in support of the company's strategic business plan and vision.
  • Influence hiring decisions by assessing talent through behavioral based interviews, facilitating selection decisions, and extending job offers. Guide and educate hiring managers regarding recruitment process and interviewing techniques.
  • Interview candidates according to all employment laws, company policies and procedures as well as EEO/Diversity plans.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and perform with a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the hiring process including the documentation of all interviewing and tracking activities.
  • Negotiate salaries and compensation packages utilizing internal equity and salary grade structure.
  • Initiate and drive special projects to elevate the recruiting process and implement creative methods to find top-tier candidates.
  • Utilize HRIS systems accurately to meet compliance standards. Track analytical data regarding all facets of the hiring process, and proactively suggest strategies based of data points.
  • Achieve defined recruiting goals. Compile timely and accurate reports as requested.
  • Adhere to all employment practices and regulations.
  • Be willing and able to travel as required.
  • Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work independently within all levels and functions of the organization. Maintain relationships and communicate with other departments to resolve escalating applicant issues in a timely manner.
  • Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments.
  • Support the mission, vision, values, and policies of Midco.
  • Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented towards work and projects.
  • Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement while creating and implementing viable solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years recruiting experience required. Full cycle recruitment a plus.
  • HRIS/Applicant Tracking System experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of Employment Laws affecting HR/Recruitment function required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.
  • Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings, and weekends as business demands.
