The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. JOB SUMMARY:

As we look to grow our Human Resources Team, we are looking for a People Management & Development Specialist with a passion to personal and professional development, a good sense of humor, a rock-solid work ethic, and strong attention to detail. The Talent & Development Specialist role will play an important role in the Human Resource organization around program management, people processes including supporting promotions and performance management, and scaling our use of the SMBC Talent & Development offer. You will support Performance Management Processes throughout the year, partner on the Promotion Process, coordinate and manage training workshops and programs, supporting Talent Management and Succession Planning, and assisting with reporting and tracking of key initiatives. This position is reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of People Management and Development. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage thePerformance Management process,supporting the launch, communications, and training process, providing reporting to the HR Team, following up with the business on progress, answering questions and troubleshooting, and providing recommendations on improvement opportunities each cycle.
  • Support the Head of Talent, CHRO, HR Business Partners, and business leaders on thetalent review and succession planning processesto focus on both identifying high potentials/high professionals and planning targeted development plans for key talent.
  • Support projects like theCulture Initiativethrough workshops and events, drafting communications as needed, and helping with the design of presentations for various events. In addition, manage the ROI reporting by creating and analyzing surveys and preparing executive summaries to be shared with senior management.
  • Support thePromotion Processby partnering with the Head of People Management &
  • Development on the communications, roll-out, data collection and analysis, and supporting the HRBPs on the promotion discussions.
  • Lead efforts onProfessional DevelopmentandDiversity & Inclusionand partner with the Head of Talent to ensure we regularly communicate theSMBC Leadership & Developmentoffer to MB employees.
  • Manage thereportingfor the People Management & Development Team.
  • Update and maintain theHR Calendarin partnership with the Head of Talent, CHRO, and Business Partners.
  • Create SOPs for the variousprocesseswithin the People Management & Development Team.
  • Build relationships with thethird-party providers and vendorsas needed.
  • Manage the scheduling, coordination, and invoicing for all People Management & Development workshops, initiatives, and events.
  • Analyzelearning and talent datato anticipate and communicate current and emerging needs. Identify patterns, trends and measures of effectiveness and impact and proactively offer recommendations.
  • Provide yourinsight and adviceto the Manufacturers Bank HR team to help think through and solve talent, engagement, and retention challenges.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (or similar field) preferred.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of functional experience with learning and development, talent management, and/or performance management.
  • Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and ability to interact with employees at all levels, including upper management.
  • Strong analytical ability and a self-starter.

  • Experience with Success Factors HRIS, working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom to support digital workshops and MS Teams, Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
