Job Description

Is this YOU?: You have known you wanted to be a vet since you were in kindergarten. You love taking care of animals and getting to know their pet parents. You have only been in your dream profession for a short while and want to have a strong mentor who always strives to provide quality medicine with positive client relationships. You want to work for a clinic owner who is passionate about mentorship and will help you to develop your full potential, and someone you can learn from, in case you may want to be a clinic owner in your future.

CityVet Virginia Beach: Is owned and operated by Dr. Erica Feiste, known for her well-rounded expertise in advanced emergency surgeries and critical care. She is extremely passionate about mentorship and teaching DVMs and took a sabbatical leave to be a professor at the veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada. She taught junior surgery, anesthesia labs, and classes on how to prevent burnout. She is an excellent leader and believes in giving her DVMs the support they need, and the room to grow while providing a safety net. Work life balance and respecting time and needs are also very important to her.

What is CityVet? CityVet is a growing veterinary network with 35 locations in Texas and Colorado and more in development nationwide. CityVet has SIX DVMs on its executive team and it is one of the few veterinarian companies FOUNDED by a Vet, OWNED by Vets, and LED by Vets for 25 years. Since they are vets, they know how to support them and help them be successful and happy in their roles. Our CEO was also recently awarded Most Admired CEO from Dallas Business Journal.

Culture? We are obsessed with creating a “just wag” culture. We see the world like a happy dog sees the world – and are happy to spend time with each other and our clients. Thanks to the nurturing, supportive, and kind culture, we have one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry. Come meet our team and you will know why we were just certified as a Great Place To Work. ™
