About the Job: Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care Assists physicians during examinations and procedures Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills 21 Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals 3x12s, varying days Requirements: TX RN license (or Compact) Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred BLS certification, ACLS preferred What We Offer: This position may be BONUS eligible AND offers a competitive and clear salary structure. Proficient in drug types, interactions and reference materials. Knowledgeable to give medications and perform duties of a RN. Specific knowledge of medical terminology to be able to understand and carry out physician orders. Specific knowledge of the basic principles of the nursing field and their applications to be able to understand and carry out the duties of a staff nurse. General knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, and grammar to be able to do drug calculations and properly document patient care. Specific knowledge of nursing principles and patient care procedures in order to communicate properly with patients, staff, and physicians.
