This role will provide legal services and advice to multiple entities within our specialty organization, including day-to-day support for contracting and negotiations.  It will also include work on strategic enterprise projects and significant engagement with business and legal colleagues throughout the organization.  The qualified candidate must possess an ability to develop a detailed understanding of complex business operations and interdependencies in a fast-paced environment, and should have a minimum of four to five years’ healthcare regulatory or transactional experience with a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.  Knowledge of health care fraud and abuse laws, contract negotiation experience and the ability to provide timely, practical guidance while effectively managing multiple competing priorities are required. Compensation will consist of competitive base salary and bonus eligibility and will be based on a candidate’s knowledge and experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide day to day legal counseling on strategic, operational and transactional matters involving specialty pharmacy, wholesale/distribution and group purchasing organizations.  Negotiate and handle a variety of complex contracts, including with pharmaceutical manufacturers and other entities.Engage and manage outside counsel and internal colleagues as necessary to respond to legal questions and contracting issues.Work cross-functionally in analyzing complex transactions and legal issues impacting the specialty organization.Provide support to other legal team members as needed to manage complex legal matters.QUALIFICATIONS:J.D. required from an accredited law school/Bar membership required.Licensed to practice law in the candidate’s state.A minimum of four to five years of health care transactional or regulatory experience, preferably in the health care law department of a reputable law firm with experience in health care business contracting and advising; experience with pharmaceutical manufacturers or health care providers. Must use sound judgment to make decisions, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and work well with others in a diverse team environment to resolve complex issues.Must possess strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.Must be organized to professionally handle multiple contracts and projects in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 132,700 - 221,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.We want you to be healthy, balanced, and feel secure.
