Accountabilities include ensuring governance, initiatives, activities, and processes drive toward the accomplishment of the Product Development strategic plan in support of the enterprise goals and objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport of tracking milestones, metrics, and KPIs across a portfolio of strategic initiatives impacting global Product DevelopmentApplies digital and analytical tools to streamline and improve reporting of program and initiative status and progressTracks resource (people and dollars) demand and supply across the strategic initiative portfolio. Identifies and seeks to resolve conflicts, bottlenecks, and budgetary risksAccountable for facilitating regular initiative portfolio reviews and prioritization exercises to ensure the strategic portfolio is fresh and focused on the most important deliverablesServe as project manager and /or participate, as needed, in any initiatives that are identified in PD/PDO annual objectives and/or strategic initiativesProvide departmental business operations support (track objectives, facilitate staff meetings, create/maintain SharePoint sites amongst other activities)Oversee Product Development Barriers to Execution Tracking and Resolution (BETAR) programServe as delegate for Product Development Deputy Chief of StaffMay lead special projects on behalf of the PDO Leadership TeamQualifications & ExperienceBS/MS/PhD degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field. MBA preferred.8+ years of experience in drug development with direct experience in CMC development, business operations, project management, matrix leadership, managing direct reports, and managing stakeholders at all levels including senior leaders. Exceptional capability to build alignment with senior level business partners.Results-oriented with the discipline to focus on execution of strategic decisions while balance conflicting priorities.Demonstrated strong ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve objectives and effectively communicate challenging goals & objectives.Deep experience managing a broad portfolio of projects of significant complexity and duration across a global network.Exceptional executive written & oral communications critical with proven savvy in executive escalation of critical issues.Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments.Excellent cross functional communication skills and a decisive yet collaborative leadership style.Demonstrated excellence with project management principles and application including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and evaluate priorities.Excellent facilitation skills in small- and large-group settings.If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
