You will work with project managers, support staff including electrical engineers, cost estimators, designers, drafters, and other engineering disciplines to provide quality work on schedule and within budget. Let's see the big impacts we can make, together.We'll Expect You To: Be responsible for design and specification of electrical systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilitiesFrom planning studies to final design, the senior electrical engineer will lead in preparing contract documents for plans, specifications, and cost estimates for complex projectsElectrical systems include low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, UPS, and batteries Expertly apply knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines related to electrical engineering industryManages several different assignments simultaneouslyProvide quality control and quality assurance of electrical engineering plans, specifications, and estimates in the water marketPerform power system studies for electrical systems including load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash and competent in equipment sizing, grounding, and relay coordination preferred.Perform field visits and conduct site investigations for public and private clientsProvide services during construction including submittal reviews, response to Contractor’s request for information, review and approval of change orders, and preparation of record drawingsCollaborate with multi-discipline teams across multiple office locationsDevelop basis of design reportsPrepare proposals and interview with clientsMentor junior staffAll other duties as assignedJacobs’ health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
