Interested in joining our team of restaurant-obsessed explorers? Right this way.ABOUT THE ROLE:We’re looking for a hard-working and tenured Director to lead our Data and Analytics team at Resy. This team reports into the Product organization and is responsible for working across large data sets to provide business intelligence, trend and statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to help drive strategic decision making within the company. The right Director of Data Strategy will have extensive knowledge of data services, particularly relational databases, Snowflake, DBT and Looker. In this role, you will oversee multiple consumer internal and client-facing data products, marketing segmentation, CRM, NPS, new credit card account acquisition, Resy-Amex data sharing, new data integrations and third-party partnerships.        You will uphold a trust-based management style of a highly autonomous team of business analysts and data scientists.         You will help them design the right data modeling processes and algorithms that give us access to the information we need to help solve the organization's biggest challenges.        You will be interfacing daily with multiple cross-functional stakeholders sitting across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Revenue and Operations, and must be skilled at building trusted and collaborative relationships across complex organizations.        You will carry out data governance processes and procedures, operating as an individual contributor, at times, to help the team. WHAT YOU'LL DO:        Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow our data and analytics function at Resy       Partner with our cross-functional stakeholders to identify the right set of data projects and problem statements for the team to focus on       Optimize our data workstreams for efficiency, improving our sizing efforts, determining prioritization and defining success metrics        Leverage more predictive modeling to drive greater key business outcomes, for Resy and its customers        Ensure Resy’s data ecosystem is meeting business needs, compliance requirements and preserves data integrity across the company       Understand the underlying architecture of our data infrastructure and work to streamline and improve our systems       Serve as custodian of Resy data – owning the responsibilities of appropriate usage and sharing of Resy data across American ExpressWHO YOU ARE:      5-8+ years in a data science role, with experience in generating reports, developing insights, and presenting to stakeholders of varying backgrounds     5-8+ years of experience with Business Insights tools, including data infrastructure admin duties, and extensive work in constructing the modeling layer, and building / scheduling reports, Looker experience preferred.      3+ years of experience leading a Data and Analytics team     3+ years of experience cloud-based data software, Snowflake preferred.      Expert in SQL, proficient in Python, ability to navigate a database and build complex queries autonomously     Ability to interface and consult with technical teams on development work, including experience with GitHub and Jenkins      Experience in the restaurant and food tech industry highly preferred.     Commitment to healthy work-life balance, fostering a friendly, supportive, and collaborative team dynamic     Affinity for teaching and expertise to help the Data and Analytics team build complex and sophisticated analyses to advance their knowledge and drive greater impact to the business.     Familiarity with data infrastructure tools, such as Fivetran ETL and DBT     Experience with Product and Marketing insights tools, Google Analytics and Mixpanel preferred     Familiarity with the financial services and credit card industryQualificationsSalary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
