The team is responsible for developing and supporting Data Services, Data Warehouse, Analytics, MDM, Data Quality and Sophisticated Analytics/ML for multiple business functions including Sales, Marketing, Services, Support and Customer Experience. We use leading modern cloud platforms like AWS, Reltio, Tableau, Snap Logic, in addition to the native AWS technologies like Spark, Airflow, Redshift, and Kafka and Data Bricks.About the RoleWorking as part of the data management and governance team, you will lead enterprise data governance and core data management initiatives to lay the foundation for enterprise data policies, standards, and optimized systems / processes for Account/Company/Customer/Partner (Party) and contact master data to enable this key data asset for Workday’s growing business.Responsibilities:Develop a data management strategy and operating model to build information trust and capabilities with business partners to demonstrate data as a strategic asset to fuel growthWork with the data governance leads to define and implement information governance policies, standards, and processes in support of the overall global business strategy for Party and Contact data domainsDrive data management and policy creation with partnersDefine and implement programs for data stewardship and custodianship in concert with legal, information security, and corporate risk and compliance officesDefine methods for measuring and supervising data quality and policy alignmentCollaborate on core data creation (MDM) and maintenance using existing resources and internal platformsDefine policies and procedures for information consumption that caters to all kinds of information usage within WorkdayDefine policies for BI and Analytics tool usage and data access including restricted and critical data accessDrive implementation of features and functions across Workday to implement and adopt Party and Contact core data with Business Technology partnersAbout YouBasic Qualifications:6+ years of related and progressive experience in Data Management, Product Management, Data Governance, BI and related fields4+ years experience as a product manager or product owner in one or more data domains (Customer, Party, Account, Partner and Contact)Experience in setting up hierarchies - legal, sales, services and finance for party and contactKnowledge of data technology initiatives and core data management strategies / standard methodologiesOther Qualifications:Experience in drafting and leading data policies, business data processes and business glossariesExperience inspiring change for data management including: product/program management, change management and change readiness, software development process methodologies, and data qualityStrong communication, engagement, and presentation experience in a dynamic, cross-functional organizationKnowledge of business processes, technical practices impacting data quality is meaningfulExperience with metadata and reference data software packages/architectureExperience with enterprise source systems and of systems that consume Core & reference data, including CRM, ERP and Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence. Experience in driving core data integrations in M&AB.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent experienceDefine methods for measuring and supervising data quality and policy alignmentCollaborate on core data creation (MDM) and maintenance using existing resources and internal platformsDefine policies and procedures for information consumption that caters to all kinds of information usage within WorkdayDefine policies for BI and Analytics tool usage and data access including restricted and critical data accessDrive implementation of features and functions across Workday to implement and adopt Party and Contact core data with Business Technology partnersWorkday Pay Transparency StatementThe base pay range for the primary location of this job is listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
