About this job
Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Document business and functional requirements for multiple regulatory and tax initiatives. Work with technology to implement systems and controls. Document and conduct testing to ensure project deliverables meet the requirements. Requires: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related quantitative and analytical Engineering field such as Industrial Engineering. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience in the following: using Data Analysis and SQL to understand how tax reference data flows from upstream systems and is used to assess tax withholding & reporting requirements of a client; leveraging process modeling tools such as Signavio or Microsoft Visio to document complex workflows; building low code solutions using Alteryx designer; working with software development teams to implement and validate test scripts and communicating the requirements concisely and effectively across the software development team; working with external tax consultants and internal tax teams to document tax regulatory requirements; ensure tech systems meet project requirements through Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT); US Withholding (including Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Non-Resident Alien (NRA), IRC Sec 871(m) and Backup Withholding; US Tax Reporting (including Forms 1099 and1042S); utilizing business intelligence and analytical skills to perform in-depth root cause analysis on an exception causing production work failures impacting transaction withholding and reporting; handling competing regulatory and internal project deadlines with minimal supervision; working closely with multiple stakeholders and using clear and concise verbal and written skills to communicate effectively within the team environment; and participating in internal operations projects to drive strategic business initiatives and to evaluate processes to enhance and improve client reporting operational flow with particular focus on ensuring regulatory compliance.
