VP, Senior Underwriter - Energy - New York - Full-time

Overview:

First Citizens leverages its deep industry knowledge and expertise to offer comprehensive financing solutions for renewable and conventional power generation. The unit manages a large, diverse portfolio that includes investments in all asset classes across the energy sector.

The VP, Underwriter will work with the Underwriting team and report to the Managing Director of Underwriting. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the internal credit approval process with the review, preparation and presentation of credit approval materials
• Spearhead the due diligence process to review loan documentation, third party reporting, and participate in related discussions with the sponsor/borrower
• Coordinate closing process with capital markets, legal, treasury, middle office
• Manage a small team of junior staff and mentor their growth and development

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience, but the range is generally $150,000 to $175,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis. Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, preparation of projections, and trailing twelve month analysis. 

Preferred Education: Bachelors Business, Finance, Economics
