Concrete Estimator

Herbert Construction Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Scheduler/Estimator to join our dynamic team.

As a Concrete Estimator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the scheduling and estimating of concrete projects. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless execution of construction plans, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines. Key Responsibilities:

· Calculate the amount of concrete needed for projects

· Record man hours

. Work with our Senior Estimator to create estimates for concrete foundations

· Meet daily with General Superintendent and Sales Account Manager about scheduling upcoming jobs

· Document and report discrepancies and delays concerning deliveries

· Communicate with concrete companies and pumps prior to the job starting

· Figure materials for footings, walls, and sub-contractors

· Schedule sub-contractors

· Call in concrete and pump orders

· Create and present reports to upper management

· Scheduling future jobs to determine how much work can be done in the upcoming weeks

· Monitor Verizon Fleetmatics GPS system

. Work with our Senior CAD Operator to create plans for our projects.

· Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in concrete construction or a related field is preferred

- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices

- Strong project scheduling and coordination skills

- Excellent time management abilities to meet project deadlines

- Basic understanding of construction estimating processes and techniques

· Construction estimating experience required

· Construction plan reading skills are required (Architecture Plans)
