COMPENSATION RANGE: $50,000 - $60,000 total compensation potential; includes base salary plus bonus.

THE COMPANY: Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue!

SALES MANAGER POSITION: Our Hotel Sales Manager will work to develop strong partnerships with local businesses and establish connections in effort to generate traffic to our hotel the Townplace Suites by Marriott! If you are a go-getter with a desire to get out from behind a desk and form lasting relationships that ultimately generate traffic through our doors then this position is for you!

SALES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish client base of organizations, associations, social groups and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales efforts.
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.
  • Operate the sales department within established sales expense budget.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals as established by Real Equity Management
  • Initiate and follow-up on leads.
  • Offer creative thinking with social media and room night packages to grow customer loyalty and experiences.
  • Achieve and grow yearly top-line revenues.
  • Achieve and grow local account and global account partnerships
  • Seek out new business.
  • Shift market share business from comp set hotels.
  • Create accurate contracts.
  • Communicate needs directly to hotel operations team to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Develop market mix of business and recognize top producers
  • Grow and develop group business
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings with hotel staff on behalf of REM
  • Conduct a professional thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.
  • Coordinate and prepare annual marketing plan.
  • Assist the General Manager with the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and effectively communicate them to subordinates.

SALES MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

  • REQUIRED; Previous experience with both sales and customer service.
  • PREFERRED; Bachelors degree in Business, Hospitality Management or related field.
  • PREFERRED; Previous experience with business to business sales.
  • Proven track record with developing leads and cultivating business relationships.
  • Outgoing extrovert with a positive personality a must!
  • Self-starting, go-getter attitude.
