SUMMARY

It is the responsibility of the Bartender to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and interact with guests to ensure a

entertaining and memorable experience for guests. Receives cash and registers sales for drinks. All duties are to be

performed in accordance with Losers policies, practices, and procedures, and dress code.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and high volume environment.

• To provide excellent service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction. This includes greeting and

interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, building trust and delighting guests, anticipating

and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are

difficult or upset, taking ownership of guest issues or problems and taking action to quickly resolve them, and

caring about and valuing guests.

• The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers,

supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors. This includes being cooperative, approachable, and taking

time to listen to and address others’ questions or concerns; treating others with kindness, respect, and dignity;

and expressing empathy and compassion when dealing with the needs and problems of others.

• The ability to participate as a committed member of a team. This includes cooperating and working well with

other team members to accomplish goals and meet guest needs, being supportive of others, willingly helping

others, objectively considering others ideas and opinions, sharing information with others, adhering to team

expectations and guidelines, giving proper credit to others, and fulfilling team responsibilities.

• The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely

• The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and

procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately

in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.

• Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes.

• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beer, and non-alcoholic selections available.

• Working knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes of each drink.

• Maintain an orderly and clean bar at all times, including, but not limited to, bar surface, draught area, coolers,

wells, sinks, mixing materials, server area, and mats

• Promote a lively bar atmosphere and encouraging patrons to participate

• Maintain bar inventory consistent with cash totals and stock items, including all liquors, beers, wines, mixes,

garnishes, glassware, and miscellaneous bar supplies throughout shift

• Clean bar mats, behind and around the bar, pour spouts, liquor and wine bottles, fruit trays at the beginning

and ending of each shift and thoroughly clean Bootwacker™ machine at end of each shift

• Set up bar at beginning of shift, cut fruit for the day, and close down bar at end of each shift in accordance with

Company standards

• Ensure receipt of accurate payments, balance cash drawer during shift, and maintain security and accuracy of

bank

• Ensure compliance with Company alcohol service and identification policies

• Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings

• Cocktail, bus, and service customers during shift when needed

• Make sure all ashtrays are clean and empty throughout entire shift.

• Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout shift

• Adhere to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state.

• Assist with training/mentoring of new employees as requested.

• Maintain all assigned wardrobe/costumes/uniforms and appearance in accordance with established uniform

guidelines.

• Prepare any part of the venue for a special event. This may include carrying tables, decorations, materials and

similar duties

• Contribute to the team environment and works well with other staff

• Provide Apprentices and Porters direction and coaching to ensure proper operation of the bar and assist them

when necessary.

• Ensure correct product is utilized.

• Oversee overall operation of the out let bar.

• Record complimentary drinks, spilled drinks, drinks made by mistake, drinks refused by customer, and broken

bottles.

• Inform manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur

• Perform other job related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 21 years or older and have at least two years’ experience bartending or related field.

• Must have a bartender’s craft card, alcohol awareness card (TAM Card) and non-gaming registration.

• Must be effective in both verbal and written communication in English.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a pleasant personality

• Previous experience in an entertainment bar concept.

• Willingness to work a varying schedule, which may include late nights, weekends, and holidays

• High school diploma or equivalent.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Must possess a thorough knowledge of bar equipment, mixing procedures and recipes, and brands of beer, wine

and spirits.

• Needs ability to pour accurately without jigger or measured pour spout.

• Proficiency in changing kegs and resetting taps.

• Thorough knowledge of country music, past and present, as well as blues and Southern rock, and ability to

recognize notable country music performers to ensure they are treated consistent with Company policies.

• Highly motivated individual with solid work ethic.

• Possess strong judgment skills and effective listening abilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to

hear, speak, walk, dancing, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs;

requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or

sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have ability to work in a loud and smoky

environment
