Electrician

Reports To: 

Electrical Supervisor

Purpose:

Ensure quality electrical installations and repairs meeting all regulatory requirements, primarily installation of new electrical systems. New hire will be a part of our robust electrical team. 

Essential Functions:

1. New construction electrical installation: Monitor and maintain compliance with electrical processes, codes, and regulation while installing new electrical systems in modular houses. Modular electrical is only slightly different from stick built.  

1. Quality Assurance: Inspect and assess electrical installations to ensure alignment with company standard operating procedures. Verify correct measurements and accuracy in various electrical components and systems.

1. Troubleshooting and Communication: Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify quality and code concerns specific to electrical systems. Maintain effective communication with leads, supervisors, and other trades to complete work cohesively.

1. Electrical Testing: Perform physical inspections of electrical systems, as well as hipot tests to ensure modules leave with high quality, working, electrical work. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to analyze electrical issues for root cause
• Ability to receive and give feedback in a positive manner
• Working independently with limited supervision
• Solid understanding of electrical codes and methods
• Eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Physical stamina for extended periods of standing and physical work.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints.

Day to Day Activities:

• Daily electrical work, under the electrical supervisor
• Becoming cross-trained in other trades
• Work collaboratively with other teams for electrical installations and repairs
• Complete and document all necessary electrical tests as required 
• Assist the Electrical Supervisor & team in wiring new units

Education and Experience:

•  High School Diploma or equivalent.
•  1-2 years of experience in electrical required
•  Familiarity with building and electrical codes a plus
