Responsibilities:

  • Greets and assists patients, clients, and relevant third parties via phone, email, and live web chat.
  • Addresses inquiries concerning procedures, processes, services, and status updates; refers matter to relevant team member as required.
  • Inputs medical records requests by accurately collecting and transcribing data into appropriate areas of assigned database system(s).
  • Ensures incoming authorizations are HIPAA compliant in all aspects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills; capable of utilizing Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Capability to follow HIPAA guidelines relative to sensitive document handling and destruction.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of administrative experience required; experience in a medical environment preferred.
