Shift: Days, 7a-7:30p, 12x4, 48 hrs per week, will accept 36s

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • IN/Compact license
  • Minimum 2 Years Experience
  • Med Surg Experience, Starting IVs, and CVA
  • BLS
  • NIH
  • ONS preferred
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Chemotherapy Administration, and Monitoring Chemotherapy skillset preferred
Other details:MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.

Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: BCLS; NIH and ONS Preferred
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Years Experience, Med Surg Experience, Starting IVs, and CVASkillset Preferences: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Chemotherapy Administration, and Monitoring Chemotherapy
Staffing Ratios: Dayshift from 4:1 to 5:1
Unit Information:**High acuity MS~45% Heart & Lung Transplants - new and rejection,~35% Heme/Onc, ~10% others - gen. surgery, trauma/plastics, med. overflow• Nearly all patients will be on some sort of hazardous drug. Many patients are on or have recently received anti-neoplastics.o Only 7N staff nurses with ONS competency certificate will hang/administer chemo—it may be necessary that a contract/agency RN be primary for the patient and coordinate chemo with the charge nurse.• Nearly all patients are immunosuppressed and infection prevention is a priority.• Transplant and polypharmacy are partners—requires high level of organization and attention to detail.
