DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Your role as a Transportation Technician involves ensuring accurate roadway information is available to both internal and external customers. You will play a key role in maintaining the Roadway Management System (RMS) Database, analyzing data for accuracy, and supporting various surveys related to Pennsylvania's road management system. Your assistance in data collection and database updates will help ensure the highway performance monitoring system remains up-to-date and reliable.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal Full-time employment. The season runs from April through October.
  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or
  • One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires possession of a valid Non-commercial Class C Driver's License.
