Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.

We are currently seeking a dedicated IV Pharmacist to join our team for a contracted position at our specialized IV Pharmacy.
Shift: Mon-Fri (9:00 a.m-5:30 p.m.)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Compounding and preparing intravenous medications according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Conducting sterile compounding procedures with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Verifying the accuracy of IV medications prepared by pharmacy technicians.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient therapy plans and ensure appropriate medication management.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of IV medication compounding and dispensing activities.
  • Participating in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.

Requirements:

  • Pharm.D degree (or B.S. Pharm. with equivalent relevant experience) from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Current licensure in the State of Delaware, or eligibility to reciprocate licensure.
  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, particularly in IV compounding, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sterile compounding techniques and a commitment to maintaining aseptic conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
