Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Department of Orthopedics is seeking a fulltime Nurse Manager to join our team.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for managing and directing the day to day operations of the Orthopedic nursing team and function in the roll of a staff nurse as needed. Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Oversight of patient care activities
  • Scheduling and daily management of nursing staff
  • Regulatory compliance, exam coding and charges
  • Hiring, monitor and maintain records for attendance, continuing education, performance reviews, training
  • Address any performance/behavior concerns pertinent to department staff and conduct staff meetings.
  • Work closely with the Department Director on initiatives.

This position is also responsible for overseeing equipment performance, quality, maintenance and registrations, speak to various vendors regarding product information, and oversee ordering of all supplies.

Successful candidates will have experience in and a demonstrated aptitude for people management.

The leading candidate must have excellent communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) to patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and staff. Must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times.

Current RMA/NCMA/CMA/LPN/RN certification or licensure required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive supervisory/management and leadership experience in a medical setting.
  • Leadership experience utilizing problem-solving methodologies, project management skills, management.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems.
