1099 CAT Claims Examiner (Remote)

Overview:
Our Independent Catastrophe Claims Examiners are (1099) contractors that will ensure a quality product is delivered to our client in a timely and professional manner by working alongside our field services staff and department leaders. The position is responsible for performing quality assurance reviews, following specific client estimating guidelines/best practices, and ensuring all estimates/reports are technically accurate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review adjuster reports and estimates to ensure estimates are technically accurate and meet appropriate industry guidelines and standards for repair.
- Understand and follow all best-practices guidelines to ensure that all client expectations are met.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and appropriate application of coverage.
- Confirm all appropriate file documentation is included for completion of the review process.
- Ability to work with Xactimate/XactAnalysis and collaborate on estimates.
- Respond timely and appropriately to follow-ups/requests for the client.
- Monitor and maintain individual queue to ensure that files are being completed timely.
- Understand and work within multiple client systems, programs, and guidelines.
- Assist with training adjusters on client specific requirements when necessary.
- All other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Two plus years of related property claim handling experience
- Xactimate/XactAnalysis estimating platform experience.
- Decision making skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good organization and time management skills
- Analytical and proactive claim handling skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient oral and written communication is a must.
- Proficient computer & typing skills - working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
