**Position Overview:**

As a Clydes Café Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing/serving high-quality coffee, other beverages, ice cream, snacks and prepackaged meals  for guests at our resort's coffee shop. You will greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

**Responsibilities:**

1. Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.

2. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, making recommendations as needed.

3. Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, following recipes and quality standards.

4. Operate coffee brewing equipment, scooping ice cream, and other beverage-making tools effectively and safely.

5. Ensure that all beverages are served promptly and at the correct temperature.

6. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following cash handling procedures and maintaining a clean and organized cash register area.

7. Keep Clyde’s Cafe area clean and well-maintained, including wiping down counters, tables, and equipment, and restocking supplies as needed.

8. Assist with food preparation and presentation, including sandwiches, pastries, and other snacks.

9. Provide information about menu items, including ingredients, allergens, and dietary restrictions, to customers as requested.

10. Uphold health and safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices.

11. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

12. Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints professionally and courteously, resolving issues to the satisfaction of the guest whenever possible.

13. Stay informed about current promotions, events, and offerings at the resort and promote them to customers as appropriate.

 

**Requirements:**

-Previous experience working in a similar hospitality environment preferred.

-Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso-based beverages.

-Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

-Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.

-Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

-Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

-Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
