Wesley Village is a full-service retirement community offering independent living homes, independent living apartments, Wesley-At-Home Home Services, Home Nursing Services and Home Healthcare, a long-term care facility and skilled care, which includes short-term rehabilitation and memory care.

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS!

Responsibilities

  • Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
  • Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
  • Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
  • Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
  • Discard leftovers and take out garbage
  • Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
  • Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
  • Assist in keeping track of temperatures of food and cooling appliances
  • Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances

SCHEDULE

6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Mon-Fri

Every other weekend (Sat & Sun) REQUIRED

BENEFITS

  • Weekend premium pay, 0.50/hour

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions

  • Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not required

  • Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards

  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly

  • Wage is based off of experience
