Job Summary:

The Lake Club Paddle Sports Attendant plays a crucial role in providing an exceptional experience to Members, Guests of Members, and Discovery Guests at the Keowee Springs Lake Club and Surf Shop. Responsibilities include ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, delivering outstanding customer service, and contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Cliffs communities.

Job Duties:

Maintain constant surveillance of pools and surrounding areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrives if needed.

Greet members and guests warmly and promptly.

Maintain positive relationships with members, guests, and staff.

Validate member or guest status and ensure waivers are current.

Execute opening, in-shift, and closing procedures efficiently.

Assist with facility organization and cleanliness.

Provide information on outdoor pursuits schedules and assist with registration.

Promote and market outdoor activities.

Demonstrate proper usage of equipment and ensure safety standards are upheld.

Provide lifeguard supervision at the Beach Club slide pool.

Test chemical levels of pools daily and report imbalances promptly.

Attend to member accidents and submit proper documentation.

Maintain appearance of facilities, including cleaning and organizing.

File waivers alphabetically at the end of each shift.

Maintain personal appearance according to dress code.

Assist with administrative tasks related to Surf Shop and Beach Club operations.

Lead, plan, and deliver outdoor programs such as kayak tours and hikes.

Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Anticipate and fulfill needs during busy and slow hours.

Provide hands-on instruction for kayak and paddleboard techniques if required.

Rotate between Surf Shop, beach, and dock areas.

Uphold company standards, procedures, and core values.

Continuously build knowledge of relevant topics for exploration events.

Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Assist with Sportsman Trail events.

Background/Experience:

Preferred certifications in First-Aid, CPR, AED, lifeguarding, boating, and Wilderness First-Aid.

Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to learn new skills.
