JOB SUMMARY

At Viya, the leading telecommunications provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands, we are committed to providing exceptional connectivity and entertainment experiences to our customers. To further this mission, we are looking for a Regional Retail Sales Manager to join our team and lead our sales teams in achieving revenue targets and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will oversee our Retail Sales staff, implement innovative sales strategies, and drive sales through various channels. This position is ideal for a strategic leader who is passionate about customer service and understands the impact of technology in today's fast-paced world.

QUALIFICATIONS OR PREREQUISITES

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and manage retail sales and commission plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
  • Implement retail strategy and operating plans to drive growth, enhance customer experience, and identify new opportunities.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Store Managers/Supervisors and dealer principles to foster a positive work environment and address customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Care to set tactical goals, achieve strategic objectives, and optimize the customer experience.
  • Establish metrics to measure sales effectiveness, continuously monitor data on product and sales-related KPIs, and take proactive actions to drive improvements.
  • Conduct research on competitors to identify threats and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Analyze and maintain appropriate inventory levels, optimizing product availability and minimizing stockouts
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, both with individual customers and within the community, to drive retention, ensuring operational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Facilitate training and education sessions to increase team effectiveness, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Motivate and recognize outstanding performance, analyzing department expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare sales activity reports and present to executive management, providing insights and recommendations for future growth.
  • Perform other duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • At minimum five (5) years of experience within a high-profile retail sales role.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to develop internal company relationships and trust to support sales initiatives and goals.
  • At minimum five (5) years of experience in a senior supervisory/leadership position preferred.
  • Experience in the cable and/or telecommunications industry and thorough knowledge in the telephone, cable TV, internet and broadcast services marketplace preferred.
  • Experience in mobile sales and dealer channels, including strategy development and execution for maximizing sales and profitability.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas effectively.
  • Effective Leadership and Management: Hands-on people management skills with the ability to multitask and manage projects under pressure.
  • Marketing Expertise: Knowledge and experience with marketing principles, including the latest technologies and their application in marketing.
  • Project Management Abilities: Effective project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Technical Proficiency: Superior proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant technologies.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent years of experience will be considered
