Material Handler

Express Employment Professionals in Everett is hiring Material Handlers for day and afternoon shifts a company in Marysville. Start ASAP! Full-time hours with the opportunity to be hired on permanently. 

As a Material Handler you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of organic materials through equipment. Your responsibilities will include informing heavy equipment operators to refill product, performing housekeeping tasks such as scraping, sweeping, and shoveling, stacking bags, and providing assistance as directed by the foreman. Overtime is often available! 

We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

First shift: $18 per hour

Second shift: $19 per hour

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain flow by breaking up material to prevent bridging
• Keep finishing screens operational by scraping to ensure proper product flow
• Perform housekeeping duties to prevent material accumulation and adhere to safety standards
• Meet quality and quantity standards for production
• Report any equipment problems to maintenance personnel
• Assist with small bag line operations as required
• Aid in restacking pallets and general cleanup tasks as needed

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to follow safety practices to ensure personal safety and the safety of others
• Comfort working in dusty environments and in various weather conditions (hot, cold, rainy)
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency in climbing ladders and working on feet for extended periods

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Entry-level experience is welcome!
• Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair experience is a plus, not a must
