Full Time: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F
POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs operational activities supporting the creation, modification and transmission of Automated Clearing House (ACH) files. Additionally this position supports implementation and billing related activities for new and existing ACH originators as well as other duties assigned by the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) files to and from The Federal Reserve Bank and meet established deadlines
Assist ACH Originators with processing and file related questions
Process ACH Exception Items
Process incoming and outgoing ACH Returns (NSF, Unauthorized, Stop Payment, etc.) according to regulations and established policies and guidelines
Research and respond to ACH transaction disputes
Maintain current understanding of all ACH processing rules that includes return timeframes, notification of change, error resolution and reclamations
Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service skills
Outstanding listening and communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn banking software applications
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to perform in a highly sensitive environment and deal with confidential matters
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
Self-motivated and independent thinker
Ability to work well with a team
Attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Bank operations and customer service background
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant use of computer screens and reading of reports
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, and scanner
Long periods of keying and repetitive motion
Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk, see or hear
Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday
Ability to lift and/or move and carry up to 10 pounds
