Team Member to Elder ratio: 1:20
The primary purpose of RN position is to provide direct nursing care to the elders. Such oversight must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Guide to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The Nurse is a member of a self-managed work team and is responsible for coordinating aspects of the team's work.
As the unit nurse, you will oversee, provide guidance, and assist CNAs with resident cares as outline in the job description and in accordance with each resident’s care plan. The nurse will prepare and administer medications, and provide treatment as order by the physician, within scope of RN/LPN Practice. Complete thorough documentation regarding each resident in the chart. Additionally, the nurse completes admissions and discharges, as directed by unit manager. Other duties as assigned; a full job description is available upon request and upon hire.
What it Takes
Nursing Degree (RN) from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved program.
an up to date BLS certification.
computer experience
excellent communication skills
knowledge of the appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population
