Job Summary:

The Facilities & Inventory Coordinator will maintain the organization’s inventory, supplying necessary items to employees, vendors, and contractors while maintaining accurate records of all products.  This position is responsible for maintaining all facilities as well as the company fleet maintenance.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory, working with the procurement specialist to maintain an adequate stock on all items.
  • Ensures par level on all stocked items. If an overage is identified, it must be brought to the attention of the immediate supervisor.
  • Removes serialized damaged equipment from inventory.
  • Assesses inventory reports for any discrepancies.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Counts and scans all serialized items at the end of the month, to include all inventory on vehicles as well.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Operates forklift truck.
  • Ensures everything related to RTC buildings is in good working order. This will include regular inspections on light fixtures, sidewalks, landscaping, parking lots, walls, plumbing, electrical, etc.
  • Does monthly vehicle inspections for safety, cleanliness, and to ensure everything is operating as it should and all maintenance is completed as scheduled.
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of all RTC owned structures, including mowing, light maintenance, and overseeing of snow removal.
  • Performs all other related duties as requested.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with co-workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Possess, or able to possess within 1 year, an Indiana Driver’s License with good driving history.
  • Have ability to operate a forklift truck.
  • Ability to operate lawnmowers and weed-eaters.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel to maintain spreadsheets.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality with all items shared in Finance meetings and communications.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
  • Forklift operator certification preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing at times when working in inventory, cleaning, or various other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
  • Must be willing to work in both hot and cool environments as needed.
