Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of over 80 drivers, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely operations at all times.
  • Ensure all routes are running on schedule.
  • Schedule and plan operations, including a basic understanding of KPIs, budget planning, and talent management.
  • Lead customer relations with airline crews, achieving "Raving Fan" service levels and exceeding client expectations.
  • Prioritize safety management, exhibiting a personal commitment to safety – enforce "Safety First" as a priority.
  • Communicate issues and provide data to headquarters and dispatch for timely resolution.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip vehicle inspections.
  • Build a team of reliable drivers.

The Ideal Candidate: An inspirational leader!

  • Basic computer and mobile technology skills - Experience and desire to work with technology!
  • Proven track record of success in leadership in building a team. A driver advocate!
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of management experience (airline/airport or transportation environment preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation or related industries.
  • Proven track record of safety management and contributing to the maintenance of a safety culture.
  • Training/coaching background preferred.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and be approved by the Company’s insurance carrier; may be required to obtain special city/airport permits.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule that may require weekend and/or evening work. The New York holiday season is our busiest time due to all incoming/outgoing flights.
