Hair Stylist

Position Purpose: The Hair Stylist will under the direction of the Regional Spa Director, maintain the quality and exceptional guest experience of the property Salon for facials, haircuts, manicure/ pedicures, or waxing. The Hair Stylist is an essential support to Heritage Hotels & Resorts in creating unforgettable spa experiences for guests.

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Work under direction of the Regional Spa Director.
• Maintain positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.
• Communicate regularly with all staff on property regarding appointments and required timeframe for smooth workflow.
• Greet clients in a courteous manner for all steps of their salon experience.
• Cross-trained to perform all services within a unisex salon operation as determined by license and certification.
• Must be proficient in all facets of proper skin care i.e., anatomy, physiology, chemistry, masks, packs, cleansing, massage and superfluous hair removal.
• Consult with the guest to analyze treatment required to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit, may include site tour.
• Prepare workspace and equipment, treatment areas and supplies daily, sterilize all instruments in accordance to the law, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and have full range of motion.
• On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is required.
• Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the properties

• Current license, Cosmetologist as required by the State.
• Must be a passionate people person, as this job is highly interactive and requires superb customer service skills salon experience a plus.
• Friendly and warm demeanor, excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask while maintaining poise.
• Competent with computer technology to easily learn reservation management system, the point of sale system to process payments, and Microsoft Office Suite for basic document manipulation and printing.
• Ability to work on your feet or sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
• Minimum of 1 year salon experience required; spa or hospitality experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
• CPR Certification a plus.
