AdvisaCare, a leading home healthcare provider in the industry, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language disorders in clients.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech and language needs.
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and nurses, to provide holistic care for clients.
  • Monitor and document progress and outcomes of therapy sessions.
  • Educate clients and their families on strategies to enhance communication and maintain progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech and language pathology and implement evidence-based practices in therapy sessions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license in Michigan as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health care setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their treatment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in conducting assessments and developing customized treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to speech therapy.
