We are seeking a motivated individual with previous supervisory experience that is looking to move to the next level in their career. Pet industry work experience is not required, but your passion for customer service, animals, and pet care is a must!


This is a leadership position with a varied schedule including day, evening, and weekend shifts. There is an option of full-time or part-time, dependent on your experience and store need. As a member of the store's team, you will be responsible for learning operations and management skills training, key aspects of the business, and Benson’s Pet Center culture. You will support the Store Manager in leadership and operational excellence


The Benson’s leadership team is responsible for a wide variety of essential functions. They must utilize effective communications to direct and supervise team members. They must use good judgement to assist customers with their needs and provide the excellent customer service our customers have come to expect. They are responsible for the store’s presentation and overall look, properly merchandising the shelves, supporting marketing and promotional efforts. They collect and analyze data pertinent to customers, sales, and employees. These duties and more are in addition to supporting the daily operations of the store, which include unloading deliveries, stocking products, operating the cash register, placing orders, care of animals, and of course interacting with our customers and other members of the public.


This is not an entry level position. Candidates for the leadership team must be able to provide great customer service, be able to effectively inspire and motivate staff, understand how to delegate and follow up on tasks and duties, work efficiently with management to set the standard for company success. Candidates should have at least two years of customer service experience, along with at least one year of retail supervisory experience, and have demonstrated strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
