Pastor of Guest Experience

Eagle Brook Church is a multi-site church looking for a highly relational and inviting Pastor of Guest Experience to join our campus team. This person will lead Guest Experience and operational volunteer teams. They will foster the guest experience culture at their campus. A person skilled in vision casting, recruiting, training, and developing others will thrive in this role. POSITION SUMMARY

Champions the guest experience at their campus. Focuses on creating engaging experiences and building transformational relationships. Builds and leads a team of volunteers to carry out Eagle Brook’s vision for Guest Experience ministries and other operational functions. Executes ministry strategies and initiatives as designed by the Central Development team. Collaborates cross-functionally with the central development team and peers at other campuses. Reports to the Campus Pastor.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruits, equips, inspires, and invests in Guest Experience and Safety & Security volunteers
  • Creates an environment in which volunteers are growing spiritually, connected to the campus community, and inspired to own the mission
  • Identifies core volunteers with leadership potential and equips them to lead other volunteers
• Oversees the guest experience from the streets to the seats

  • lobby (greeters, hosts, kids’ check-in, retail, etc.)

• Leads centrally designed pastoral care strategies
  • Provides direct and indirect care for attenders in partnership with pastoral staff and high-level volunteers (care visits, Pastor on Duty, life events, etc.)
  • Oversees care ministries as assigned (i.e., One on One Care, Quest 180, Divorce Care, etc.)
  • Empowers volunteer leaders to lead and manage logistics of baptism and funerals
• Utilizes Eagle Brook’s church management systems to support ministries
  • Serves as campus point person for system training, ministry process adherence and support
  • Uses system to communicate and schedule volunteers, and manage related processes
• Works with local law enforcement to coordinate contracted security coverage for services (i.e. Police or Sheriff), and ensures standards for safety and security at the campus are met
• Ensures an engaging community experience for volunteers gathering in Volunteer Central
• Manages beverage service requests for campus
• Performs pastoral duties including visits, weddings, baptisms, funerals, and Pastor on Duty
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree, seminary training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4+ years) preferred
• 2+ years’ experience building, leading, and developing effective volunteer and leader teams
• 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role in either a church or corporate environment
• Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
• Strong evidence of a Christ-centered life
• Call to pastoral ministry and desire for people to know Jesus
• Experience in developing others
• Skilled in problem solving and conflict resolution
• Ability to operate effectively in fast paced, team and cross-functional environments
• Strong communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal

WORK SCHEDULE

Generally, Sunday - Thursday. Hours include weekend services plus some evening hours for meetings or events. Needs to be able to meet when volunteers are available or pastoral care is needed.

Classification: Exempt; Salary // Status: Full Time // Team: Campus Ministry
