Duties

  • Provide Nurturing Care and Safety: Create a nurturing and safe environment for preschoolers (ages 2 1/2- 4), fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Utilize Provided Curriculum: Utilize the curriculum and classroom resources already in place to enhance learning experiences for preschoolers.
  • Lead Engaging Activities: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote learning and exploration.
  • Collaborate with Supportive Staff: Work alongside friendly and supportive staff members who are committed to creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress.
  • Student assessments: Conduct thoughtful observations, documentation and individualized planning.


Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a daycare or childcare setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood care and childhood development
  • Understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
  • Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
  • Ability to create a structured and engaging classroom environment
