JOB SUMMARY

Viya, the largest telecommunications provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands, is actively seeking a highly qualified Business Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting, identifying requirements, positioning, and selling our comprehensive suite of Viya Business Solutions to small and medium-sized existing customers as well as new prospects. As a Business Account Manager, with your in-depth knowledge of the USVI's business landscape and understanding of the value our ATN International regional go-to-market strategy brings to transforming revenue, you will be a Sales Professional focused on building long-term relationships and translating customer requirements into innovative product, pricing, and service opportunities. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction for small and medium sized accounts, understand the client's capabilities and effectively upsell services.
  • Execute go-to-market campaigns for small and medium sized accounts.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and sales forecasting requirements across small and medium sized accounts.
  • Cultivate a consultative sales approach to key stakeholders defining customer requirements and matching their needs to grow Viya's wallet share of small and medium sized accounts with a focus on managed services.
  • Manage opportunities within longer selling cycles while driving short term sales opportunities weekly.
  • Ensure that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing management of any problems that may arise.
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Responsible for meeting required training and development initiatives.
  • Responsible for meeting monthly sales quotas.
  • Attend Networking and customer facing events representing Viya Business Solutions.
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned customers, with particular focus on quarterly Courtesy Visits for high revenue generating Small and Medium sized Accounts.
  • Responsible for client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue
  • Update SalesForce.com (or any other specified work sheets or Customer Relationship Management Software - CRM) with all opportunities daily.
  • Utilize data within billing system, CRM system, competitive intelligence & customer feedback to better serve customers' needs.
  • Comply to all company processes and procedures.
  • Maintain all standards relating to safety, on the job training and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience selling in a cold call environment.
  • Proven working experience as a business account manager, sales associate or a relevant role.
  • U.S. Virgin Islands market knowledge preferable.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Must have decision making & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure working in a fast pace, goal, and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills virtually, over the phone and face to face.
  • Experience in consultative sales techniques, and account planning including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-range account management strategies.
  • Working knowledge of general marketing principles, tools, and processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with track record of selling/driving revenue on a weekly and monthly basis into multiple accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideally, a first degree in Management/Marketing/Sales or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 2+ years B2B experience.
  • Knowledge of functions & operations of the telecommunications, SaaS or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of ICT & Managed Cloud Services, Mobile, Fixed Voice & Data products & service offerings.
  • Working Knowledge of CRM & contact management systems, e.g., Salesforce.com.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting, Standing, Hearing, Talking, Typing, Driving, Stooping, Kneeling, and Reading a computer monitor
  • Vision abilities also required to read contracts or other printed documents
  • Regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Moderate noise level

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Local and inter-island travel may be required

  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Must possess a vehicle in good working condition (may be required to show proof of insurance).
