Packaging Assistant, Part-Time
Fremont Brewing is currently seeking a Part-Time Packaging Assistant based out of our West facility in Ballard. The Packaging Assistant is part of the Packaging Department and reports to the Packaging Manager. The primary responsibilities include packing and palletizing product, recordkeeping, performing quality assurance checks, operating basic packaging equipment, and supporting other areas of the Packaging Department. This role will be scheduled one to three shifts per week and can be available both days and nights.
Pay Rate: $20 to $23.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in congruence with all company safety and quality standards
- Hand-folding cardboard trays and boxes
- Hand-pulling and packing finished product
- Performing routine quality assurance checks
- Basic recordkeeping during and after packaging runs
- Manual and electric pallet jack operation
- Equipment setup, changeover, and shutdown
- Cleaning of packaging areas and equipment
- Assisting with other duties as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Brewery or related production experience preferred
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to work efficiently
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well both alone and with a team
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to problem-solve on the fly
- A love for craft beer
- A fun and positive attitude
- Forklift experience a plus!
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day)
- Ability to move heavy materials (lifting to 50 lbs., moving up to 160 lbs.)
- Climbing ladders in accordance with company safety protocols
- Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts
- Routine grabbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, bending, etc.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and loud environments
