In-Home Delivery Helper

We are currently seeking In-Home Delivery Helpers to join our team at Run Rapid. As an In-Home Delivery Helper, you will work alongside our experienced drivers to ensure the safe and efficient delivery and installation of large home appliances to our customers' residences. You will be responsible for assisting the driver in navigating routes, loading and unloading items, and completing installations according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.

Applicants for this position should have a general knowledge and some relative experience in delivering and installing large home appliances. While full experience in the field is not required, prior experience in a similar role where the delivery and installation of household appliances were a primary responsibility is preferred. Basic installation techniques and the use of hand tools are essential skills for this position.

This is a 6 day a week position (Monday-Saturday) 

We currently have 2-4 openings starting as early as 02/26/2024

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the driver in safely operating the delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers' homes within designated delivery windows.
2. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and other provided tools while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
3. Carefully and efficiently load and unload products, ensuring items are secure and protected during transit.
4. Assist in delivering items directly into customers' homes, including assembly and installation of products as required.
5. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
6. Collect signatures as necessary 
7. Communicate with management regarding delivery progress and any issues encountered.
8. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and assist in conducting pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure proper functioning.
9. Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. General knowledge and some relative experience in delivering and installing large home appliances.
3. Ability to lift and move heavy items, sometimes over 50 lbs.
4. Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
5. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Comfortable with technology, including the use of smartphones and GPS devices.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
