Distribution Manager Trainee

Job Posting:

The Distribution Manager Trainee is to learn all aspects of the distribution center while rotating to various departments providing leadership and supervision of employees. Will learn all distribution procedures, processes, equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rotate between various departments providing leadership and supervision to employees. Maintain department employee engagement and morale, coaching & developing others, enforcing policy & procedures, employee life cycle activities, and performance management.
• Acquires in-depth and a complete knowledge of the workflow within the distribution center.
• Follows a logical program from receipt of product in the DC, receipt of customer orders to the shipment of product to our customers.
• Develops an understanding and firsthand knowledge of the different operations performed in the distribution center.
• Becomes familiar with policies and procedures within the distribution center
• Becomes familiar with Kontoor's safety structure and policies
• Will be required to perform various warehouse processes during the training period and required to learn the expectations of all warehouse operations.
• Works with Engineering and Distribution Management to develop knowledge of training principles, methods, and work measurement. Will be key personnel in implementation of new warehouse systems.
• Other projects as assigned

Skills for Success:

• Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels
• Strong Communication Skills (Oral, Written, Presentation)
• Proficiency in or knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point)
• Strong Analytical ability
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering required.
• Must be willing to relocate within the United States
