ABOUT THE JOB: We are in search of a 30-40 hour per week dependable, upbeat, and adaptable individual to join our team as a line cook/prep cook at our bustling, family-owned café. Our restaurant operates in a deli-style setting without fryers or flat tops, focusing instead on crafting delectable paninis, waffles, burritos, soups, and artisan sandwiches.

We place great emphasis on teamwork and take immense pride in delivering nutritious, visually appealing dishes. While we operate as a counter service establishment, our commitment to serving wholesome, aesthetically pleasing meals is paramount.

Additionally, we manage a thriving wholesale sandwich business, requiring occasional assistance with production and prep duties as needed. Flexibility is key in seamlessly transitioning between roles to ensure the smooth operation of both aspects of our business.

Our operating hours are 8-3 Monday to Saturday. We require that you have open availability during Saturdays. All Sundays are 100% off which is a big perk. If you're tired of the restaurant night grind, this is a great opportunity!

Pay will be $18.50+ per hour, willing to pay more for experience. All employees included in tip pool.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Open availability required on Saturdays and 30 hours during the week.
  • Seeking individuals with impeccable reliability, verified through thorough reference checks.
  • Desired qualities include a warm and approachable personality, along with strong teamwork skills.
  • Emphasis on maintaining a diverse and inclusive environment where mutual respect is fundamental.
  • Prior experience in line and kitchen roles is valued, but adaptability and quick learning are paramount.
  • Candidates should demonstrate the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and integrate seamlessly into our dynamic team setting.
  • Flexible enough to shift roles when necessary (occasionally transitioning to wholesale food prep or front of house assistance)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and cooking food to our standards and recipes
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team for timely order fulfillment
  • Adhering to food safety guidelines / food handler's license required
  • Keeping your workspace clean and organized
  • Supporting inventory management / possible food ordering after training
  • Fostering a positive team environment
  • Assisting with opening and closing tasks as required.
