Our client in the Worcester, MA area is looking for experienced REMOTE Underwriting Analyst. Ideally, this person would come from a property and casualty claims background. The position would be full time Monday to Friday, with the hours being 9AM-5PM. The pay rate for the position would be $16 - $18 an hour. Job Summary The Underwriting Analyst role includes assisting with the day to day workflow of the department as well as the authority to make certain decisions based on their knowledge and experience. The team will be trained in accordance to the clients underwriting requirements and trained on the system of record. The tasks include reviewing, analyzing loss and exposure data for homeowner policy submissions from agents and assist with Tier II underwriting calls as needed. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Basic understanding of insurance concepts. Reviewing submission data thoroughly and extracting relevant information. Compare and aggregate data across different coverages. Escalate high risk concerns to the client company per documented guidelines. Process high volumes of transactions with accuracy rate of 98% or better. Knowledge of property & casualty insurance coverage and products. Assist with tracking the quality of processing, recommend corrections, and assist in retraining where necessary. Identify and assist with implementing workflow improvements. Attends team meetings and performs other duties as assigned. Meets or exceeds status for all performance reviews. Meets or exceeds guidelines of the department’s training matrix. Meets self-management expectations (arrives on time daily, responsible management of time, conducts themselves in a professional manner, work is delivered at a consistent rate and at a high level of accuracy, etc.).
