DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The role entails overseeing the initial requests for consumer assessments, assigning assessors for additional screening, and ensuring the completion of assessments. It is essential to promptly and accurately address casework queries regarding policies and procedures. You will be responsible for offering guidance and supervision to telephone intake care managers and assessors when necessary. Duties also include organizing, monitoring, reviewing, and approving all paperwork and data entry, as well as ensuring the accuracy and completeness of consumer data in the SAMS database by analyzing it for compliance with established standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Schuylkill, Sullivan & Wyoming counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
